  • Will my wife enjoy this trip? +

Take a look at our photo gallery and video commercial. She should be pretty convinced after seeing other women catching Tarpon that it is a lot of fun. If it is not for her, then there are some pretty incredible beaches, a gift shop, and a snack bar at the Bahia Honda State Park. Just one warning, the ladies usually outfish the men on our Tarpon trips :-)

  • What should I bring? +

All bait, tackle, and fishing licenses are included. We will send you a list with your booking confirmation, but the items you should bring...

    1) Cash to settle your charter balance and for any captains gratuities (Credit cards can be accepted as final payment with a 4% convenience fee added to the total), 2) Camera, 3) Sun gear: Hat, sun protective clothing, & sunglasses (preferably polarized) & Sun Screen, 4) Drinks & Snacks - Captain will provide cooler with Ice, 5) Rain gear, 6) Non-Skid boat shoes (Please do not wear Crocks as they do not give necessary traction on a boat). Please keep your items to a minimum as stowage space is very limited.

  • I once had a rude and angry captain on a charter back home. What are your captains like? +

Unfortunately we often hear stories of rude or belligerent captains. They are out there and we see it every day, even here at the Bahia Honda.  We are here to create lifetime memories and show you a fun day on the water. Our business is mainly based on repeat customers and referrals. Our captains have calm demeanour's, we are very patient and love to teach,  we are sociable and enjoy people, and most of all we LOVE what we do. Come out with us, I promise you will see the difference!

  • Will just one charter do? +

If you are traveling from out of town, please consider fishing several morning and evening charters with us at the Bahia Honda. Tides and feeding times are different every day. We catch Tarpon on all tides, but some days the evening bite is better than the morning, and some days the morning is better than the evening. All of our charters are 4 hours long based on these bite times. Keep in mind that the more trips you do, the more experience you get on how to catch and properly fight these monsters. Many of our customers book 2,3,4 or more charters with us.

  • Are there any age restrictions for your Tarpon Charters? +

We have the ability to adjust the drag on your reel so that just about anyone over 60lbs can fight a 100+lb fish, so it's probably best to be about 10 years old and up to fish for Tarpon.

  • How do I book a charter? +

The easiest way is to book online using our Online Booking Calendar. You can use this to book just one or multiple charters. If you have questions that are not covered in our FAQ page, you can send us an email at This email address is being protected from spambots. • Do you have rest room facilities? +

Since we fish right out of the Bahia Honda State Park, We are within 5 minutes of a rest room during the entire charter.

  • How much do your Tarpon charters cost? +

You can view all of our current rates by clicking on our RATE PAGE

  • I get seasick real easy...how rough will the water be? +

We fish for these Tarpon in the protected bridge area of the Bahia Honda Chanel. If we have winds that are predicted to be too strong to have a comfortable day, we will postpone or cancel the trip. We fish just a couple of minutes from the Bahia Honda State Park docks if you wish to head in.
